Israel's per-annum industrial production has increased by 6.8% between March and May of 2008, in addition to the 11.9% rise it has noted in the first quarter of the year, the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) said Sunday.
According to CBS data, the majority of the increase was noted in high-tech, electronic and pharmaceutical industries.
The report further noted a continuing decline in industrial production in traditional technologies such as the foods and textile industries.
The CBS' industrial production index is calculated by using fix-prices products' proceed indicators, as well as production volume.
