Ahead of the High Holidays I went to visit Shmuel of Kibbutz Ein Harod. Shmuel collects items from the past, and is the owner of a huge postcard collection.
By looking at these postcards one can understand the image given to the Land of Israel at the start of the Zionist realization. The Jewish population's leaders and public figures were greatly appreciated and honored during those times.
These postcards documented the country, its landscapes and the life in it, but their designers reflected a state of mind, more than just reality. And so, each person can see different things in each postcard and visit places where time has stood still.
