MK Hanegbi: Navy fighters were attacked, activists tried to lynch them
Chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Tzachi Hanegbi met with his Chinese counterpart who is currently in Israel and briefed him on the details of the Gaza sail takeover. Hanegbi stressed that "the Navy fighters were attacked violently by an inflamed mob that tried to commit a brutal lynching."
He added, "The fighters were forced to defend themselves and their comrades – and responsibility for the serious consequences of the incident lies on the Hamas organization, that initiated this provocation and the violent attack on IDF soldiers." (Amnon Meranda)
