Peres-Gul meeting canceled over Israel's refusal to apologize for raid
The meeting between the Israeli and Turkish presidents was canceled due to Shimon Peres' refusal to apologize for the raid on the Gaza-bound the flotilla. The Turks, who initiated the meeting, conditioned it with an Israeli apology – a term unacceptable by Israel.
