Over the summer, Egyptian security forces uncovered many arms caches in the Sinai peninsula. A month ago they located 11 weapon, arms and explosives caches, during a wide-scale operation alongside their border with Gaza.
Egyptian security officers found many kinds of weapons, including anti-aircraft missiles and half a ton of TNT explosives in the Rafah region and in near by villages and cemeteries.
A week before that, the Egyptians discovered five weapon caches of arms and explosives, which were suppose to reach Gaza via tunnels.
According to the report, 110 anti-aircraft missiles were uncovered in a cache located at the heart of Sinai. In another cache, close to Rafah, 100 kilos of explosives were found, as well as 100 more anti-aircraft missiles and 90 anti-aircraft rockets in satellite cities.
