FM rejects Europe condemnation over Gilo construction

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman dismissed Europe's condemnation of Israel's decision to build 800 additional housing units in Jerusalem's Gilo neighborhood. "These automatic condemnations are indicative of a lack of a basic understanding of the reality in the region," he said.

On Friday European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said she "deeply regrets" Israel's decision. (Attila Somfalvi)
