Peres, Putin meet in Moscow

President Shimon Peres met with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Thursday. Prior to the meeting, Putin addressed the inauguration of the Jewish Museum of Tolerance in the Russian capital, saying that the institution is the two countries' joint contribution to the battle against racism and xenophobia.


Peres, in turn, lauded the Red Army's role in WWII and called for cooperation between Russia and the United States. (Merav Yudilovitch, Moscow)
