MK Hasson: Ceasefire attainable
Minister for Strategic Affairs Moshe Ya'alon told Ynet that "We didn't delude ourselves that peace will be achieved during the operation. We intend to achieve it once it will be over. I can only remind you of what is happening around us; during the second Lebanon war
Hezbollah never stopped firing and declared victory, but since then Hassan Nasrallah is in a bunker. This can be the case in Gaza strip as well."

MK Israel Hasson (Kadima) commented on the indirect ceasefire talks and said he thinks a truce is attainable. "I think the problem is not so much between Israel and Egypt but mainly among the Palestinian sections themselves. There are two great forces operating - the Egyptians striving to reach ceasefire and the Iranians pushing towards escalation." (Ynet)
