Sources: Lieberman cancels trip over Ayalon controversy

Sources postulated that Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman's decision against accompanying Israeli diplomats on their visit to the Czech Republic and Germany is linked to his decision to keep his deputy, Danny Ayalon, off Yisrael Beiteinu's Knesset ticket. The latter is a member of the delegation.

The sources postulated the foreign minister cancelled the trip due to concerns that journalists accompanying the delegation would try to embarrass the two politicians while on the trip. Lieberman's bureau said the foreign minister had scheduling conflicts and was unwell. (Itamar Eichner)
