Source: Abbas threatens to dismantle Palestinian Authority
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who spoke at a Fatah meeting at his bureau in Ramallah, said that "Israel's last announcement regarding building in the E1 area crosses a red line." He said that the PA is pursuing several channels with the purpose of stopping Israel
from carrying out the plan "which threatens to destroy the peace process."

In addition, a Palestinian source told Chinese media outlets that Abbas insinuated he might dismantle the Palestinian Authority in protest against Israel's actions. The source quoted Abbas as saying that "We might hand the keys to the Palestinian Authority back to the Israeli prime minister. We refuse to be Israel's guards or be used as a tool to implement its plans for the Palestinian territories." (Roi Kais)
