2 Jordanian peacekeepers freed in Darfur
Two Jordanian peacekeepers taken hostage in Sudan's volatile Darfur region in August were freed Wednesday.

The joint UN-African Union peacekeeping mission in Darfur said the two Jordanian police officers, Hasan Al-Mazawdeh and Qasim Al-Sarhan, were examined and appeared to be unharmed and in good health after 136 days in captivity. They will be flown to Sudan's capital of Khartoum and then to Jordan as soon as possible, the mission, known as UNAMID, said. (AP)
