BBC: UN envoy says Assad's speech 'lost opportunity'
UN Envoy to Syria Lakhdar Brahimi responded to a speech given by Syrian President Bashar Assad earlier this week and said it was "a lost opportunity to resolve the crisis in Syria."

Brahimi, who last met President Assad in December, told the BBC the speech was a repeat of previous initiatives that had not worked and was in fact even more sectarian and one-sided. (Ynet)
