The abuse allegedly began in December when two of the complainants were assigned to a company near Maccabim. Upon their arrival, the suspects initiated a series of hazing assaults against them which included punching and kicking episodes while the new recruits were handcuffed. They were also sprayed with pepper spray.
The complaint reached the Police Investigations Unit on Sunday night after one of the victims' parents discovered the incident and reported it.
The investigation suggests there is a wider-spread phenomenon than detailed in this specific complaint.
