Iron Dome factory shut down; 300 workers fired
The Sanmina SCI Corporation instructed the company's board in Israel to shut down the Lod factory, which manufactures parts for the Iron Dome system. The factory's 300 workers will be fired over the next months. Some production lines will be transferred to the Maalot factory, where new workers will be hired.

Over the last few weeks defense officials and factory employees attempted to convince the American company not to close the factory, to no avail. (Gilad Morag)
