Druze ballot disqualified for 131% voter turnout

Central Elections Committee Chairman Elyakim Rubinstein has decided to lodge a complaint with the police in the case of reported voting irregularities at the Druze town of Yirka.

Justice Rubinstein previously decided to disqualify the ballot after voting results revealed that out of the 587 registered voters 771 took advantage of their "legal" right, a voter turnout of 131%, which, according to him, hints at criminal tampering in the elections. (Telem Yahav)
