Egypt opposition threatens to ban parliamentary vote

The Egyptian opposition has threatened to boycott Saturday's parliamentary elections if the Islamic regime did not apply a "solution" to the crisis in the country. The opposition claims President Mohamed Morsi is responsible for what it considers excessive force used against protesters.

On Friday nine people were killed in clashes that erupted in Suez, and on Saturday at least 22 people were killed and some 200 others were injured after a court sentenced 21 people to death for their involvement in the deadly melee at a Port Said soccer stadium a year ago. (AFP)
