Beitar asks to host Umm al-Fahm game without crowd

Amid the uproar over Beitar Jerusalem owner Arkadi Gaydamak's decision to sign Muslim players, the soccer club's management has asked the Israel Football Association to host Tuesday's game against Arab-Israeli team Umm al-Fahm in an empty stadium.

"We are ashamed of the (Beitar fans') racist chants during the last game, and we will exert all of our efforts to eliminate the phenomenon," Chairman Itzik Kornfein said. (Ynet)
