Yishai: Lapid doesn't want Shas in gov't but Netanyahu does

The three Shas party leaders arrived at the president's residence and endorsed Benjamin Netanyahu for prime minister. Minister of the Interior Eli Yishai said: "It's clear to me that (Yair) Lapid doesn't want Shas in the coalition, and it's also clear that Netanyahu does

want Shas there. If the good of the State is before the leaders' eyes understandings can be reached."

Yishai added: "The processes the haredi community is undergoing were never ones of coercive drafting. It's not realistic. In anything that involves the torah world we'll form an obstructing bloc with United Torah Judaism party." (Moran Azulay and Noam Dvir)
