Ban condemns deadly series of bombings in Syrian capital
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned the series of bombings that struck the Syrian capital Damascus Thursday, one of which killed at least 50 people and left hundreds injured, according to media reports.


"The Secretary-General renews his call on all parties to end the violence and respect international humanitarian law," Ban’s spokesperson said in a formal statement, which also conveyed the secretary-general’s condolences to the families of the victims. (News agencies)
