Australian PM: We learned lessons from Zygier affair

Addressing the shadowy affair of suspected Israeli spy Ben Zygier, Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard said the government has learned lessons "about protocols for working when people are detained on issues associated with intelligence," The Australian reported.

An internal Foreign Ministry report shows "there could have been better work between ASIO and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade on Australia actively, pro-actively, engaging in consular work with this young man," she told reporters in Sydney. (Ynet)
