Yisrael Beiteinu MK drafts bill to impede no confidence motions
MK David Rotem of Yisrael Beiteinu drafted a bill aimed to significantly complicate the passing of no confidence motions in the Knesset plenum. "The people elected the government so it could rule, and we must enable it to do just that," he said.

The law proposal, believed to be submitted at the behest of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, would also limit the number of cabinet ministers to 19 and raise the electoral threshold to 4% of the general vote. Should the law be ratified, it would come into effect after the next general election. (Moran Azulay)
