MK Cabel forces Knesset to hold special Gaz exports plenum

Labor MK Eitan Cabel has collected the mandatory 40 signatures of other MKs needed to force the Knesset to hold a special discussion and secure the participation of the prime minster. Cabel and the other MKs are demanding the government hold an open discussion regarding the decision to export 40% of Israel's newly discovered gas.

"It is inconceivable that adecision which will influence every citizen in this country will be taken behind closed door and a shroud of secrecy," Cabel wrote on his Facebook, calling the government's move underhanded opportunism. (Moran Azulay)
