Haniye speaks with Egyptian intelligence officials
Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh spoke with officials in the Egyptian intelligence for the first time since the ouster of President Mohamed Morsi. Gaza government spokesman Ihab Al Ghussein said that Haniye asked them to pressure Israel in the matter of senior Hamas operative Abdullah Barghouti, who is jailed in Israel and is on hunger strike.


Ghussein noted that Haniye was promised that Egypt will discuss the matter with Israel. (Elior Levy)
