Obama: Security Council incapable of action in Syria
US President Barack Obama said during a White House meeting that the US is still in the planning process for Syrian response, and that his preference would have been for international community to move forward

Obama said no one is more "war weary" than he is, but US must be willing to safeguard international norms. He added that the UN Security Council has shown an incapacity to act in face of a clear violation of international norms in Syria. Obama stressed that if there is no action on chemical weapons use, that sends a signal that international norms have no meaning. (Reuters)
