US: First step in Iran agreement is 6 month suspension

National Security Advisor Susan Rice commented on the talks with Iran and the world powers on the subject of the Iranian nuclear program, saying the first phase of an agreement would include suspension of the Iranian nuclear program for six months.

In return, the Iranians would get limited temporary sanction relief. Rice said that the move was meant to "buy time" in order to reach a full agreement with the Islamic republic. (Yitzhak Benhorin)
