Report: Removing Syria's chemical weapons may be set back

The process of removing Syria's chemical stockpiles may be delayed until after the original December 31 deadline, the BBC reported.

Ahmet Uzumcu, director-general of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, informed his colleagues of the change, the report said. The plan is for the chemical weapons to be destroyed on the deck of an American ship in the Mediterranean Sea. (Ynet)
