Defense Ministry signs agreement to privatize military industries
The CEO of the Defense Ministry, Gen. (res.) Dan Harel, signed an agreement Wednesday that will allow the privatization and sale of Israel Military Industries Ltd. The agreement will allow for the company to be sold and for tens of thousands of housing units to be built in its place in the Ramat Hasharon area.

The Defense Ministry will buy millions of shekels worth of equipment each year from the company in order to allow it to be privatized. As well, the ministry also signed an agreement to clear out hundreds of dunams from the Tzrifin and Kirya military compounds to make room for apartments. (Yoav Zitun)
