Aid efforts resume in stricken Syrian city of Homs

The delivery of humanitarian aid and evacuation of civilians in the besieged Syrian city of Homs resumed on Wednesday, the governor of the province, Talal Barazi, said.

The central city has been under siege by the Syrian army for more than a year and a half.

"At 11 am local time, food could enter," said the governor said, adding that the vehicles delivering the aid supplies were also to evacuate civilians. (AFP)
