Jordan 'cautiously optimistic' about peace process

Jordanian King Abdullah II is "cautiously optimistic" about the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian peace process, he told US President Barack Obama on Saturday, the Jordan Times reported.

"I am cautiously optimistic, even with the major challenges that America has been working tirelessly to improve the situation between the Israelis and the Palestinians," King Abdullah told Obama during their meeting in Amman.

Relentless American efforts to bridge the gaps between the two sides over the past month "gave us hope," the King noted. (Ynetnews)
