Katsav to stay in jail over Passover, court rules

Disgraced former president Moshe Katsav has had his request for furlough over the Passover holiday rejected, following an appeal to Lod District Court.

Katsav had petitioned the court on the grounds that he was told a rule permitting furlough from jail only every 60 days did not apply to him. He had previously been granted leave for the Purim holiday in March.
