Number of MERS victims in Saudi Arabia rises to 109

Saudi Arabia's health ministry reported Saturday that two more people had died after catching the MERS virus, increasing the number of the death toll in the country due to the disease to 109. The health ministry also reported the in the last three days 35 new cases were identified.


The epidemic which similar to SARS, damages the respiratory system and was first documented two years ago. Since then at least 400 cases of contagion cases were registered mainly in Saudi Arabia. Yesterday, the first case of the disease was discovered in the US. (Ynet)
