Former PM to receive jail in Tuesday morning sentencing; prosecution seeks 6 years
Former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert will face jail time in his sentencing Tuesday morning following conviction for accepting bribes in the largest corruption affair in Israel's history referred to as the 'Holyland' affair.

The prosecution has demanded that Olmert be sentenced for six years while Olmert's defense team has pushed for less than 18 months. The Olmert case is the first time a Prime Minister has been convicted of a felony and will be the first jail sentence ever received by a head of state.
