Germany: Thousand protest against Erdogan visit

Cologne - Thousands of people demonstrated Saturday in Cologne (West Germany) during the controversial visit of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, denouncing corruption and freedom violations in Turkey, noted AFP.


Under heavy police surveillance, the protesters who gathered in the town's center demonstrated against the Turkish government corruption and violence against protesters. The protesters were carrying signs saying "corruption, Sharia and despotism – Erdogan you are not a democrat" (AFP)
