Zarif, Ashton meet in Istanbul to 'discuss progress' in nuclear talks

TEHRAN - Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, and the European Union's foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton were set to meet on Monday in Istanbul to "discuss progress" in nuclear talks, Iranian media reported.

The informal meetings, which will last two days according to a source close to the Iranian negotiators comes after the failure of the last round of talks in Vienna between Iran and the major powers to begin drafting a final agreement on the dimension of the Iranian nuclear program. (AFP)
