Watch: Diaspora students taste cuisines from around the world

English-speaking Jews fail to recognize international Jewish cuisines such as acharuli khachpuri, gondi dumpling, and injera with senafish, but quickly identify gefilte fish.

English-speaking Jewish students in Israel tasted various foods from different Jewish communities around the world.

They thought acharuli khachpuri, a traditional Georgian cuisine, looks like an Australian football, and Gondi dumpling, a Persian meatball dish, like matzah balls. They also opened their sinuses when they tasted injera with senafish, Ethiopian bread and mustard.
