Jordan condemns Israel for disturbances on the Temple Mount

The Jordanian government has condemned what it has described as “continued Israeli disturbances” on al-Aqsa mosque.

In a statement published by a Jordanian government spokesperson on Monday, Mohammed al-Momeni referenced the entry of large security forces into the compound and the use of rubber bullets and tear gas against Muslim worshippers and Waqf workers.

“We demand that Israel immediately stop all the escalating actions which are totally unjustified.” The spokesperson added that Israel’s actions contravene all relevant international treaties and conventions.
