Part of a portrait of Donald Trump by Efrat Ilan
The paintings of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump by Israeli artist Efrat Ilan were accepted to the “Faces” exhibit in Miami, Florida.
The only Israeli artist to be featured in the exhibit, Ilan’s work was selected from submissions made by thousands of artists from across the globe. Ilan said that she paints many celebrity portraits, which include supermodel Bar Rafaeli, musician Elton John and Hollywood icons Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor. She confessed that the political subject matter of Clinton and Trump was linked to her desire to participate in a US exhibit.
“Faces” opens on October 5 and will feature 15 pieces of Ilan’s work. “It’s a great honor,” she said.
Focusing mainly on modern art styles, Ilan sculpts and paints, incorporating canvas, metal, glass, wood and other materials into her works. She is currently holding her own exhibit at the BSR Towers in Ramat Gan.
