Rap and Palestinian-colored flags: a glimpse of the new Batsheva performance
Choreographer Ohad Naharin and the Batsheva Dance Company are returning with a new dance, Venezuela, during which 'Palestinian' flags are raised; the performance examines the relationship between movement and content and the conflict between the two.
The Batsheva Dance Company inaugurated a new performance titled Venezuela by choreographer Ohad Naharin. The troupe presented segments from the performance in an open rehearsal held at the Suzanne Dellal Center in Tel Aviv.

In the work, the dancers are divided into two different groups, with each group presenting the same dance routine one after the other. During the performance, flags reminiscent of Palestinian flags were flung through the air.
The work explores the connection between movement and content and the dialogue between the two.
