Netanyahu congratulates new head of National Security Council
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated the new head of the National Security Council, Meir Ben Shabat, who will enter office in two days, saying, "Meir is very experienced and active in defending Israel's security and has done all his duties with honors. He is also familiar to members of the cabinet who have already experienced the clarity of his thought and the fruit of his experience many times. We welcome him."


Ben Shabat served in various positions within the Shin Bet and in his last position was head of the organization's southern command.
