Three robbers broke into a home situated in a luxurious street of Herzliya Friday morning where they tied up a carer looking after the 66-year-old wheelchair-bound homeowner and threatened both of them at gunpoint.
No one was injured in the burglary that took place on Nordau Street and police launched an immediate manhunt for the suspects.
As the bandits threatened both of their terrified victims, the elderly woman’s 75-year-old husband was not at home.
After rummaging through the house, the thieves eventually found two safes, two handguns, cash other items of personal property, including expensive jewelry before making off with the booty.
They plundered the house for half an hour before fleeing the scene.
