Ramon Crater declared international 'Dark Sky Park', first in Middle East
The American International Dark Sky Association has declared Ramon Crater to be an international "Dark Sky Park."
This international title recognizes sites where, for most of the year, conditions for planetary gazing are close to ideal.
Ramon Crater is the first site in the Middle East to be bestowed with the honor, shared by 54 others in 15 countries around the world.
