Negev Ceramics factory in Yeruham to close, 140 employees to be fired

The 140 people employed in Negev Ceramics' Yeruham factory were informed the company is forced to shutter the factory due to economic difficulties and that as a result they would be dismissed.

CEO of the Negev group Uri Gilboa explained in the letter the factory loses NIS 2 million every month and despite the company's desire to implement a reorganization plan, the Histadrut trade union federation and the factory's own labor union would not cooperate.

In response, dozens of employees began congregating at the entrance to the factory.
