The National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) has honored Prof. Avraham Rivkind for his contribution in the saving of lives of road accident victims.
Prof. Rivkind, a well-known prominent surgeon, has saved thousands of people at the shock trauma unit at the Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, which he heads.
Prof. Rivkind honored at the Knesset
Over the past 13 years, he has been hosting teenagers at the shock trauma unit as part of a project meant to allow them to see first-hand what happens to road accident victims.
Prof. Rivkind was honored at the Knesset in a ceremony attended by Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz and Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan.
