Hamas inmate's early release request denied due to organization's possession of bodies
The Court Administration's release committee denied an early release request submitted by a Hamas-affiliated inmate who was sentenced to three years in prison.
The committee's chair noted the fact the inmate belonged to Hamas's military wing should be given weight, as it holds the bodies of IDF soldiers Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul, and refuses to return them to Israel.
The inmate is serving a sentence for security offenses including contact with a foreign agent, prohibited military training, weapons offenses and activity in a prohibited organization.
