Palestinians react to Trump, Abbas talk

A Palestinian security official warned of an escalation in response to the US intention to move the embassy to Jerusalem.

In a conversation with Ynet the source said that "the decision will ignite the region and we will return to ground zero, it can spark an Intifada."

"Trump is mad," he added. "On the one hand he wants to formulate a peace initiative and build a regional coalition, the other hand he wants to destroy everything."

The source also said that "Jerusalem is a very sensitive issue and that all recent crises have been linked to Jerusalem."
