Hamas, Fatah chiefs discuss Trump speech: 'Express rage in West Bank'

Senior Hamas and Fatah officials met in the Gaza Strip Thursday to denounce President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital and transfer the US Embassy there.

The parties called Trump's decision "belligerence against the rights of the Palestinian people" and called for a widespread popular uprising and expressions of rage in the West Bank.

The delegates also welcomed protests voiced both by the Palestinians and internationally and added, "Arabs, Muslims and all free men of the world must come together on the Jerusalem issue."
