Lapid to support law permitting hold onto bodies of terrorists
Yesh Atid Chairman Yair Lapid spoke on the High Court ruling that said Israel had no legal right to hold onto bodies of terrorists for negotiations and announced he will support any legislation brought forward by the government on this issue.
"The High Court instructed the government to do what it should have done a long time ago – enact a law permitting to hold the terrorists' bodies. It's a significant act in the war on terror and in negotiations to return the bodies of (Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul). I will support such legislation. The State of Israel is committed to returning the boys' bodies to their families," Lapid said.
