Police chief rejects Netanyahu: 'we won't be part of this discourse'
Police Commissioner Roni Alsheikh rejected Thursday Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech earlier this week in which he criticized police investigations against him as “a waste of time and money.”
“We don't need to be a part of this discourse. This is how we do things and this is how we will continue to do things,” Alsheikh said. “I see business as usual in the police and do not see that this public discourse is sidetracking it.”
Alsheikh also added that the police welcomes “anyone who supports the police and the rule of law.”
