Lieberman storms out of government meeting after objection to death penalty for terrorists
Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman stormed out of a government meeting on Wednesday after a loud confrontation over his bill proposal to impose the death penalty on terrorists.

Energy Ministry Minister Yuval Steinitz said he opposed the legislation, while Lieberman insisted the coalition was obligated to support the bill as part of coalition agreements.

Lieberman also attacked Cabinet Secretary Tzachi Braverman who said the government has no unified position on the bill, with the defense minister calling Braverman a "liar."

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu left the conference room after Lieberman.
