Director of Tekoa yeshiva to serve more than 4 years for theft, fraudulently obtaining benefits

The Jerusalem District Court sentenced Director of the Tekoa yeshiva Oriya Gazit to four years and eight months in prison for aggravated fraudulent obtaining of benefits and theft by an employee.

 

Gazit introduced himself to a manuscript publishing company as a representative of a group of international donors and received an NIS 2.6 million sum, the indictment against him said.

 

He was also convicted of stealing NIS 690,000 from the Tekoa yeshiva.
